The 'or-oak' listserver aims to provide a forum for discussion of issues related to conservation, ecological research, management and restoration of oak-woodland communities in the state of Oregon. Examples of this discussion might involve posting of research results, questions involving land use policies, requests for assistance in carrying out restoration projects, sharing information with other regional oak groups, announcements for conferences and meetings and job announcements. We hope this discussion fosters closer ties amongst those interested in the continued health and viability of oak-woodlands in Oregon. We urge those who know of others who may wish to participate to distribute the information on joining the list.

This listserver is currently unmoderated and has no archival or retrieval functions. Users are asked to limit discussions to topics relevant to oak-woodland communities and to avoid posting any messages that are off-topic or contain any sales promotions or solicitations (spam).

Please note that there is a limit to the size of messages that are accepted on the listserver. Please do not attach large files that include maps or images as the message will be rejected by the listserver software. Simple text messages to the listserver are preferred.
